MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A 9-year-old girl died at a Missoula hospital a day after suffering serious injuries in a head-on collision south of Lolo.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 23-year-old woman lost control of the pickup truck she was driving at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. It drifted over the center line and struck a sport utility vehicle. The pickup driver died at the scene.

The crash also injured a 25-year-old man in the pickup, the 47-year-old female driver of the SUV and two girls, one of whom died at the hospital on Sunday.

The victims' names were being withheld while family members are notified.
