The Holiday season is all about giving. I think we should all try to donate whatever we can..our time, money, food, etc. Let's address that second one for a moment. Money. It really can be the root of all evil. Did we not learn anything from A Christmas Carol?

I'm someone who refuses to let money define my actions. Believe it or not, I'm just not that motivated by money. Maybe that's why I don't make a lot of it, but I am seriously o.k. with that. I don't need a lot of material things, so the fact that I make the amount of money I need doing something I love is just such a blessing. If your generous with your money, I'm a strong believer that you'll always have as much as you need.

Back to the current subject, and time of year, at hand. It's the holiday season! Find a good place to donate just a little bit of money. Ensure that money goes to the less fortunate (those who can't find a way to get the money they need). If we all did this, the world would be a much better place. Believe in that.

It's not just about charitable donations though. Tip a little bit more and/or tip someone that you normally don't. My dad always tips the garbage men this time of year. Tip your paperboy or girl. Tip your barber or hairdresser. Tip your housekeeper if you have one. Tip those people who provide you service with a smile. Good service goes a long way and it's something else that I believe makes this world a better place. It's something that makes us all happy.

Being happy is really what it's all about this time of year. If you don't have any extra money to give, smiles go a lot further. Just be nice to everyone you come in contact with. Without that, this world would be a miserable place.
