Yesterday, A Tribe Called Quest released We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, which they're saying will be their last-ever album. One of its songs, "Solid Wall of Sound," is built off Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets" and features a new vocal contribution from John.

You can listen to the track in the Spotify widget below. It kicks off with a sample of John's original recording, a No. 1 hit in 1974, and the final single from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which came out the year before. Then, at the 2:43 mark, after Busta Rhymes helps out in the second verse, the modern-day voice of Elton closes out the song in a duet with Q-Tip. John is credited as a co-writer on "Solid Wall of Sound," which also features his piano.

A Tribe Called Quest recorded We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service in secret this past year. Unfortunately, Phife Dawg died in March due to complications from Type 2 diabetes, but, as Q-Tip said in the announcement of the record, he “left us with the blueprint of what we had to do.” The title came from Phife Dawg, and Q-Tip had to admit he didn't know the meaning of it. "We're just going with it because he liked it," he said.

In addition to Elton John and Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest received contributions on We Got It From Here from Jack White -- who plays guitar on several songs -- Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000, Talib Kweli and Consequence.
