  • Dennis Washington is currently the richest person in Montana with an estimated net worth of nearly $7 billion.
  • The Crown Jewels of England include Yogo Saphire from Montana. (Apparently no other gems from North America are included in the Jewels.)
  • The world famous extreme skier, Scot Schmidt, was born in Helena, MT.
  • Ismay, MT is the smallest town in Montana. Population is currently 19.
  • Billings, MT is still the largest city in Montana with a current population of approximately 104,000.
  • The "Marlboro Ranch" is actually called the Crazy Mountain Ranch. It's a real, working ranch that is approximately 18,000 acres near Clyde Park.
  • There's only ONE military base in Montana, but it's an important one. Malmstrom Airforce Base outside of Great Falls, MT. (It's technically in Cascade, MT.) That base, along with only a couple others, is in charge of our nation's ICBMs.
  • The smallest carnivore in North America, the Least Weasel, lives in Montana.
