Albert Hammond Jr. has unveiled a music video for his latest Momentary Masters single, “Caught By My Shadow.”

The new Lauren Briet-directed video is a companion piece to its predecessor, “Losing Touch,” which found Hammond attempting to outrun death in Morocco. In “Caught By My Shadow,” a disoriented Hammond awakes only to face off with death in a game of chess -- no doubt a tribute to Ingmar Bergman’s film, The Seventh Seal. See how the Strokes guitarist fares in the video up above.

Hammond is currently on tour in support of Momentary Masters, his third solo album to date, which arrived earlier this year. Tomorrow (Sept. 15), he’ll play a show in Chicago. Then, Hammond has more North American dates scheduled through the beginning of November before he heads overseas to Europe. Get more details and ticket information at his website.

While Hammond travels the country behind his latest solo effort, his Strokes bandmate Julian Casablancas has been focused on his own venture, the Voidz, who released Tyranny last year (although the band recently had to cancel their Immaculate Powerlords tour). However, last spring, Casablancas said the Strokes have plans to start work on their follow-up to 2013’s Comedown Machine.

Likewise, the Strokes recently reunited for a headlining slot at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. They’ll also play D.C.’s Landmark Festival later this month and Austin City Limits in October. You can find more information on those appearances right here.
