Flood Watch for a portion of southwest Montana...including the following area...east Gallatin river below Bridger creek near Bozeman.

loading...

Through late Wednesday night

The east Gallatin river below Bridger creek near Bozeman remains just below flood stage at this time.

One quarter to one half inch of precipitation is expected over the next few days with most of the precipitation falling as rain.

Additional snowmelt is also expected as some rainfall melts the lower limits of the snow pack.

This will increase the potential for stream and river rises and could raise the east Gallatin river into flood stage by the middle of the week.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
