Black Bear Bites Hunter’s Friend After Being Shot With Arrow
Montana wildlife officials say a black bear wounded by a bow hunter bit the arm of the hunter's companion before dying of its injuries.
State Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokesman John Fraley says a man was hunting Tuesday near Thompson Falls when he shot the 150-pound female black bear with a bow and arrow.

Pit Bull Shot by Bozeman Police Labor Day Weekend
This is the second incident this summer in which a dog was shot by a police officer in Bozeman. The incident occurred when police approached a man illegally camping near Peet's Hill. This time, the Associated Press is reporting that police were responding to a party complaint at a mobile home when a pit bull would not respond to verbal commands which led to the dog being shot.
