Avalanche Safety on The MOOSE

It's still early season but it's never too early to learn safety in the back country. We're very lucky here in Bozeman to be home of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center....and we're very lucky at The MOOSE to know these guys really well.

In the coming weeks, you'll start hearing the daily Avalanche Reports from the guys at the GNFAC daily at 7:30am and 8:30am on 95-1 The MOOSE. Anytime there is a significant backcountry event, we get updates from them, and immediately pass them along to you.

Doug Chabot, Director of the GNFAC, is also a contributor to Mooseradio.com, so you'll have more opportunities than EVER to connect with the experts in this field. Playing in the backcountry is a habit of many a Bozemanite, however being SAFE in the backcountry should always be a top priority. -m
