Belgrade Man Charged in Machete Attack Over Burst Soda Can
A Belgrade man faces a felony charge after reportedly swinging a machete at another man who accidentally broke open a can of Mountain Dew.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports George Raymond Brents faces a charge of assault with a weapon.
Prosecutors say the victim told deputies a fight broke out Saturday night when he opened the door to a pickup truck and a case of Mountain Dew fell out, causing one of the cans to break open.
The man said Brents became angry and swung the machete at him several times before taking it out of its sheath and swinging it some more. The man suffered a cut on his hand when trying to take the machete away from Brents, who he says was threatening to kill him.
