BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Police have arrested a Billings man after an early morning shooting that left another man dead.

The Billings Gazette reports 41-year-old David Isaacson was arrested on suspicion of deliberate homicide in Tuesday's killing of 34-year-old Sabah Mallak.

Police say the men knew each other. It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting.

Authorities responding to reports of gunshots just before 1 a.m. found Mallak's body on the street outside a home in a Billings Heights neighborhood.

Nearby, a car had crashed through a fence and was in the front yard of the home. A pickup truck in an alley a half-block away was cordoned off with crime-scene tape.

The Billings Fire Department's rope and rescue team found a gun 30 feet down an embankment across the road.
