Picking up friends and family at the airport now will be easier.

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport reports that they will be offering one free hour of parking in the pay parking lot. It used to be only 30 minutes for free.

The reason why they are expanding the time to one hour is due to all the traffic issues with curbside parking when there are many travelers leaving and arriving around the same time.

“With the significant increase in passengers that we have seen over the past several years, it has become very apparent that our terminal curb cannot handle the number of vehicles we see without much stronger enforcement of active loading and unloading. That being said, we know our customers love being able to meet their passengers inside the terminal, so while we will increase enforcement of the curb to keep traffic moving along, we will also offer one hour free parking so that customers can feel free to leave their vehicle in the pay parking lot to meet and assist their friends, family and business associates inside the terminal,” said Scott Humphrey, Deputy Airport Director.

Bozeman is the only airport of the largest five airports in Montana to offer one hour free parking.
