BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Gallatin County says it owes more than $1.8 million to 54 of its sheriff's deputies who sued over claims they weren't paid fairly.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports county officials delivered the pay information to Jane Mersen, the deputies' attorney, Thursday. Mersen has 30 days to review the figures to see if she agrees with the totals.
