The Bozeman Film Society continues its 2015-2016 season at the Ellen Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 29 when it screens the powerful, acclaimed Amy Winehouse Documentary, Amy.

BFS has been bringing the best newly released indie, foreign, documentary and art house films to Bozeman since 1978. They are pleased to present the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, at the Ellen on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Despite just two albums to her name, Amy Winehouse is one of the biggest music icons in British history. With a voice oft described as a combination of Billy Holiday, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan, Amy Winehouse was a pop star with soul - a once in two generational musical talent whose appeal crossed cultural and demographic boundaries. While her music made her a star, her chaotic personal life stole headlines. As riveting as it is sad, AMY is a powerfully honest look at the twisted relationship between art and celebrity - and the lethal spiral of addiction.

This documentary presents the story of Amy Winehouse in her own words, featuring unseen archival footage and unheard tracks. After a critically acclaimed theatrical run, the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on Dec.1. See it on the Ellen's big screen on Sept. 29. Ticket information available at theellentheatre.com. See the trailer here:
