The Bozeman Fire Department would like to remind everyone about firework regulations within city limits.

Per the Bozeman FD:

Fourth of July fireworks can only be discharged in the city of Bozeman for three days, July 3 - 5. Fireworks can be set off from noon - midnight on July 3 and July 5, and from noon - 1 am on July 4. Deputy Police Chief Rich McLane adds,

We recognize the hours are set; however, what trumps the hours are someone's peace.

This means if police receive a fireworks complaint at 11 pm from a neighbor, then they will ask the person discharging the fireworks to stop. The Bozeman Fire Department also reminds anyone who plans on discharging fireworks to closely watch children and have a fire extinguisher handy.
