Bridger Bowl to Host Judged Freeride Event

A judged freeriding event off Bridger’s ridge is taking place Feb. 16. Participants are judged on a 1–10 scale on a single run that must be completed within 3 minutes.

Skiers and snowboarders, 16 years or older, are welcome to participate in the event as long as a valid season pass or lift ticket is presented. The race begins atop Bridger Gully, take the Bridger lift, hike the ridge and ski to start. A mandatory check-in process takes place at in the Jim Bridger Lodge at 8 a.m. with the race subsequently beginning at 10:30 a.m.

For safety purposes, all participants are required to have a snowboarding or skiing helmet as well as a 457kHz avalanche transceiver.

There is an entry fee of $40. Awards include cash and door prizes, medals and an entry to the grand prize drawing which commences March 17.
