The City Of Bozeman And Gallatin County Activate Burn Ban

The Gallatin County Commission has issued a resolution declaring Gallatin County to have Stage One Fire Restrictions. This means you can not conduct any activities that may cause fires which includes Fireworks. During the 4th of July, this ban will be lifted unless conditions change. Below was the ban on open flames earlier today that was then revised to include fireworks as noted above.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather for all of Southwest Montana through 9 p.m. tonight. The warning has been issued again today due to gusty winds and low relative humidity, which makes fighting local fires difficult.
