Nickelback was chosen to perform during the halftime show at this year's Thanksgiving game between the Packers and Lions in Detroit, much to the dismay of many local fans. The game will be nationally televised and apparently many Detroit natives don't want the rest of the country associating their city with the band. So much so, an online petition is making the rounds to replace Nickelback as the halftime show.

The Kooks return to the U.S. for the North American leg of their world tour starting on November 15th. They're on the road in support of their new album "Junk of the Heart" (which came out on September 13th). The Moose is currently playing the happy little title track. Guns N’ Roses‘ concert Sunday (Oct. 23) in Monterrey, Mexico, was stopped during the first song after crowd members began throwing unidentified flying objects onstage at the band. Singer Axl Rose halted the gig just one minute into their performance of ‘Chinese Democracy’ after the items were tossed onstage and Rose announced that they would leave if fans continued to “throw s—” at the band.

I've never seen one venue filled with so much talent. As each band took the stage, the competition watched in anticipation. I feel sorry for anyone that did not make it out to the event. I'm one that very much likes variety so I was in heaven seeing 10 bands each play their best songs and then move on to the next. Who took home the honors?
