December 20, 2012 I've come across a lot of "Best Viral Videos of 2012" lists lately and most of them contain at least one "Call Me Maybe" parody...lame. I did absolutely love when Carly Rae Jepsen got together with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots to perform her song with classroom instruments. Priceless. If you missed it, it's a must-see. December 6, 2012 If you haven't seen this video yet, it's pretty hilarious and ear-opening. A spoof band from Australia called Axis of Awesome performs "4 Chords", a montage of pop songs that use the same 4-chord melody. An original way to show just how unoriginal most pop songs are.
It would seem that Paul McCartney tried to take Parliament's 1976 smash hit 'Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)' to heart. His Nov. 26 concert at Vancouver's BC Place caused damage to the lining of the stadium's new $465 million retractable roof, which was closed at the time.
