From the looks of the photos leaked from the set of David Bowie's latest video, it appears that the former Ziggy Stardust has found religion. Or maybe he's playing one of the apostles. We wouldn't put it past him. After all, he did star as Pontius Pilate in 'The Last Temptation of Christ' and played a Christ-like alien in 'The Man Who Fell to Earth.'
4 weeks ago JJ Grey & Mofro have release a video for "99 Shades of Crazy", the first single from their new album, This River. The video, filmed and directed by Spookie Daly, intercuts scenes from a little league baseball game evolving into mayhem with eerie shots of Grey and the band performing. Check it out here:
3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was released from a Tennessee jail yesterday (April 23) on a $100,000 bail bond, after his involvement in the fatal car crash in Nashville on Friday night (April 19).
4 weeks ago The latest Superman installment, "Man of Steel" (in theaters June 14), looks really good. On paper, it's a home run. Zack Snyder directs it ("300", "Watchmen") and the cast consists of Henry Cavill as Superman ("Immortals" and the TV series "The Tudors"), Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Superman's father Jor-El, Laurence Fishburne as editor-in-chief Perry White. Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, and other great actors are also in the film. I was intrigued from the start but after seeing this trailer, I might have to bite the ever-increasing movie ticket cost to watch the whole thing! See the trailer here:
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins had the pleasure of inducting Canadian icons Rush into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Thursday night, and shortly after the ceremony Grohl was still buzzing about the experience. He and Hawkins not only had a chance to give the induction speech, but they also performed a rather memorable version of the '2112 Overture' with the power trio, while decked out in '70s long haired whigs and kimonos.

If there's one Hollywood cliche you can count on, it's that most actors are frustrated musicians deep down inside. While the majority will never have major commercial success like, say, Rick Springfield, Patrick Swayze or Jamie Foxx (go ahead and laugh, but they all had number one singles), many gamely pursue a side career in music for years without being noticed by anyone but their most hardcore fans.
Maybe you think of comedian and actor Patton Oswalt as the guy who brilliantly nicknamed KFC's Famous Bowls "Sadness Bowls." Maybe to you he is the guy from 'King of Queens' or the voice of 'Ratatouille.' But he is also the person who came up with the uplifting message we all needed to hear after yesterday's tragic bombing during the Boston Marathon.
April 16, 2013 30 skiers near Montreal pulled off a pretty cool trick on Sunday. They joined hands, hit a jump, and nailed a backflip...together. It was pretty sweet, it looked like an aerial wave. They were reportedly trying for a world record, but it hasn't been confirmed by Guinness yet. Two videos were taken, one from above the jump and one from below. Check out both here:
Coachella 2013's first weekend finished Sunday (April 14) with a virtual sandstorm. As high winds and chilly weather overtook Indio, Calif., it seemed for a time the festival might not conclude as scheduled, but the Red Hot Chili Peppers braved the gusts and gave the most intense audience of the entire weekend something to remember, as they energetically delivered hit after hit in the closest thing to a greatest-hits set we saw all weekend. April 15, 2013 I had never heard of the a capella group Pentatonix (who apparently won season 3 of NBC's The Sing-Off...never saw that either). I was just really impressed by this YouTube video I came across. Check out this musical medley of the ages by the talented bunch:
