The S.L.A.M. (Support your Local Artists and Musicians) Holiday Showcase is in the final hours today. It is happening until 5pm today. You will find jewelry, artwork, pottery, clothing, metal smith work and more all created by local artists and craftspeople. It is inside a retail space on the north side of the new parking garage, across the street from the OLD closed downtown location of Kenyon Noble. Look for the window banner. It is right outside the Streamline stop. Have a wonderful week as we ramp up to the Christmas Holiday. Ill be in the studio on Christmas morning doing a normal show then watch out for January 1st & 7th when I will be putting on the always anticipated Best of the Best of the Sunday Brunch 2011. Working on my list and checking it twice. :)
What a glorious summer it has been. Just enough rain to keep it green and wonderful followed by balmy nights that crackle with fresh air. Biking in and around Bozeman, the summer breeze is undeniable in its allure and reminds me of a personal tirade that has been rattling about my skull since childhood
I'm not much of a mountain biker but a friend of mine has really been getting into it this summer and convinced me to dust off my old bike and join him for a ride yesterday. We biked Leverich Canyon Trail and I had no idea what I committed to until I began that ascent.
My dad is cooler than your dad, he not only met DeNiro, but taught him how to fish. Robert DeNiro is my favorite actor of all time and I still can't get over the fact that my old man actually taught him how to fish! Here's the story:
Biggest skiing in America is getting even bigger! Big Sky Resort is expanding its gladed tree runs by adding five new ski trails with 20+ acres of new terrain that will open on Andesite Mountain for the 2011/2012 winter season.
Wanna take a shot at $5,000 in prizes from The North Face? The Outside Bozeman Summer Hit List Contest has arrived! How many of Southwest Montana's 20 most quintessential outdoor activities can you knock off? 6 different categories give every badass in town a chance to get their own personal kickbacks.
I don't know if it's been the weather lately or a lack of sleep, but I've needed some restored energy. I've been a little uninspired lately and when that happens I usually need a creative outlet or a little bit of nature to redirect life's perspective (or dare I say purpose?). Well, we're in the right place for the latter so yesterday I got outside and got back in touch.
Don't look outside, look at your calender. May is officially here Montanans, which means the calender will also tell you that general fishing season opens this month. On the third Saturday in May (May 21st), Montana's 2011 general fishing season opens. Make sure you're ready.
On May 4th there will be a very cool 3rd Annual event at the Rivers Edge for all the girls and women out there who are passionate about casting a fly. If you just want to connect with other fisher-women or get on a list to learn how or learn a few new tricks with the more experienced set- this is your chance to mix it up. It's called
This was my fourth winter here and I know, it took me way too long, but I've finally embraced this one like a true Bozemanite by hitting the slopes! I'm from Connecticut where skiing and boarding isn't nearly as big a deal, probably because we have a couple hills to ski (not mountains).
I don't know if you have ever been skiing or boarding in the state of Utah but it is something every mountain enthusiast has to experience. Andrew McLean, a local to the Utah Mountains, gives us an in depth look into three of the to mountains in Utah. Park City, Deer Valley, and The Canyons. I get a unique feeling from each mountain I visit and while I've only skied The Canyons from those three, I've gotta say it was truly different.
