It's only a third of the way through December and we have already experienced frigid cold and lots of snow. We live in a real life winter wonderland! It's a beautiful time of year but it's also a painful time of the year. To the man who fell on his bicycle yesterday on Babcock, I chuckled a little bit but only after I saw you got up uninjured.
A comedian named Tom Mabe decided his alcoholic friend needed to be taught a lesson after being arrested for a fifth DUI. Mabe and his friends waited until the man passed out and pulled off an epic prank. It involved converting an empty office into a hospital room, a team of fake doctors and nurses, and a mock TV newscast from the future to convince the man he had been in a ten-year coma. Check it out:
Children of the '80s and '90s pretty much learned everything they need to know from TV. (It was basically like a third parent.) Besides "very special" sitcom episodes, one of the major ways we learned about how to say no to drugs and avoid "stranger danger" was from public service announcements.
O.k., we thought Michelle (our resident Scrooge) was going to be a little upset by our first holiday desk makeover...instead she called it "amateur hour". She'll see this little present first thing tomorrow morning. Do you think she'll be impressed? Also, check out what we did to her office door:
Home Alone is one of my favorite Christmas movies and it seems to get better every time I watch it. This Honest Trailer will make you laugh at the movie in a whole new way. Watch as the Honest Trailer guy rips on the movie by pointing out all of the obvious moments viewers tend to overlook. Like how many poinsettias can fit in one house? 10!
Chatroulette is a website that pairs up random webcam users on the internet. I wouldn't recommend using it on a work computer or around anyone who is easily offended. That being said, Steve Kardynal has once again mesmerized Chatroulette users with an epic lip-sync performance. This time he did it with a cover of Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball.'
Christmas is a magical time of the year. While there are countless books, songs, poems, and stories, this drunk history reading of a Christmas poem starring Ryan Gosling, Jim Carrey and Eva Mendez is an instant classic.
I have a few questions after watching this video, namely who does this?...and, what is this table made of? (o.k., maybe I do this). This could be a good Cat/Griz bet for the loser this Saturday (assuming you have an equally weak table of course):
YouTube prankster Jake Vale recently filmed a "Social Media Experiment" in a busy area of Irvine, California. He figured out how to find the most recent stuff people nearby him posted publicly on social media. He then uses the information to mess with them by pretending he's psychic. I think the experiment shows not to trust modern psychics! Check this out:
I know it's just a stereotype that white people can't dance, but it's a pretty harmless stereotype and here is 2 minutes and 15 seconds of white people dancing that is guaranteed to make you laugh. I'm glad they didn't find footage of me cutting a rug.
