July 4, 2012 We've been dealing with hot, dry weather for the last couple weeks here in Montana, and as a result, many wildfires (one, we know for certain, was caused by fireworks). Some counties have banned fireworks this year, it has been strongly encouraged not to use fireworks in Bozeman. If you are handling fireworks this fourth of July, here are some tips you NEED to know:
The sun is out, your friends are over and the kids are splashing around in the pool. Ah yes, it’s summertime, and you’re just dying to break out your grill or smoker and throw an amazing barbeque party in your backyard, at the beach, or wherever you happen to be.
Forget about the dawn’s early light, this Fourth of July is all about the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air and maybe even a couple of spiders. Those are the ones that, well, look kind of like a spider, anyway.
Here are 10 great fireworks displays throughout the country. If your city didn’t make it, don’t worry — we’re sure it’s just as good.

Montana State Fire Marshal, Allen Lorenz, is asking all Montanans to help prevent forest fires this 4th of July by not lighting any fireworks. Is this something you can do? While many of us will inevitably buy fireworks to celebrate, I think we can all agree that we don’t want to start any more fires. That’s why I reached out to the firework distributors to ask what they are doing to help prevent fires from starting.
For all the industries that have been shipped overseas, America is still the entertainment capital of the world. And what better way to celebrate our great nation than with its greatest exports?
