We've been dealing with hot, dry weather for the last couple weeks here in Montana, and as a result, many wildfires (one, we know for certain, was caused by fireworks). Some counties have banned fireworks this year, it has been strongly encouraged not to use fireworks in Bozeman. This dawned on me last night while watching Saving Private Ryan. Every year sometime between Memorial Day and July 4th I like to watch a good American war flick. I know a movie could never truly give a guy like me, who has never officially served our country, an insight into what that's like but it helps me remember why I have the rights and freedoms I do.
