The naming committee reached a consensus on 9 of those names, which have been moved forward for a final vote. The voting process is open to the entire community but closes on Friday, May 17 at 5 pm. My 13-month old is under the weather at the moment and it's kind of tearing at the old heart strings. It's just a tough age to see your little love not feeling well. She can't communicate how she's feeling, aside from moans and cries. What's a parent to do? Right now it seems like all I can do is administer ibuprofen and laughs. As the parent of a child who uses a pacifier, or binky as we call it, some new research out of Sweden has made me happy. A new study found that when parents at least occasionally cleaned pacifiers by licking or sucking them (which is the category my wife and myself fall under, by the way) rather than washing them or boiling them, their kids were significantly less likely to develop some real health problems. The cookie season for the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming starts in 18 days! Make sure you answer your door if one of our excited little Scouts comes knocking. It means a lot to them, as you will see in this video. I feel bad laughing at this, but let me point out that I wouldn't have shared this had the girl not stood back up and looked at the camera. It appears to me that she was not hurt. Buying cookies may actually create too much excitement and harm our Girl Scouts, but take the chance and buy them anyway!
