The Florida woman added a cell phone to her account for her mute and hearing-impaired brother, who didn’t know to turn off his data roaming when he was recently in Canada. Netflix Scraps Idea for Qwikster DVD-by-Mail Service

Netflix has been doing so much backpedaling lately, it’s surprising the company hasn’t adopted a bicycle for its logo.

In the most recent reversal, Netflix announced Monday that it’s scrapping a plan to split its streaming and DVD-by-mail services into two different companies and would instead keep both under the Netflix name. Full Tilt Poker, one of the Internet’s most popular poker sites, operated “as a massive Ponzi scheme against its own players,” alleges Manhattan’s US attorney.

Now Jason Castillo, who’s owned the @Qwikster name on the microblogging service since April, wants money — big money — to hand it over.
