May 29, 2012 My only answer for Mother Nature's gift to Montana this Memorial Day weekend was enjoying movies on my couch. It all started with Forrest Gump on T.V. I sat through a couple of commercial breaks before giving in to the concept of just getting off the couch for a minute to put the Forrest Gump DVD I own in the DVD player. Does anyone else have a hard time with this?
May 17, 2012 The teaser for "Anchorman 2" hasn't officially been released yet, but a bootleg version has. Apparently, it's playing before select screenings of "The Dictator" and someone filmed this in the theater with their iPhone. I CAN NOT WAIT until The Legend Continues! Check this out
May 10, 2012 Two of the funniest guys in the business have teamed up to make 'The Campaign', scheduled to hit theaters on August 10th. Not a bad time for Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis to spoof presidential candidates. Check out the full trailer here.
May 1, 2012 Universal just released the trailer for "This Is 40", a spinoff of "Knocked Up". We'll have to wait for December but I'm excited for this release, which chronicles Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's characters from "Knocked Up" (I loved the relationship between this fictional married couple). Johnny Depp‘s upcoming film ‘Dark Shadows‘ is based on the campy soap opera of the same name that ran from the late 1960s through the early 1970s. The actor is an avowed fan of the series, so the recent death of its star, Jonathan Frid, just weeks before the movie’s opening hit Depp especially hard.
Horror, action or comedy? Pick your poison, because all three genres will be represented in the movies opening in wide release this weekend.
April 2, 2012 In movie news, it is being reported that Ashton Kutcher will play Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in a new indie flick called "Jobs". In personal news, I no longer watch Three and a Half Men and there's a new movie coming out about Steve Jobs that I will not be watching. I'm not usually a hater, but Ashton Kutcher just annoys the hell out of me.
March 28, 2012 There has only been a teaser trailer of Total Recall released so far, but in the video there wasn't any mention of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even if Arnold doesn't make an appearance, I'm excited for this reboot. The original Total Recall both creeped me out and intrigued, I think I was 4. Watch the trailer inside and vote in our poll if you are excited about the re-make of Total Recall.
March 22, 2012 A lot of hype and anticipation awaits the release of "Hunger Games", the first film of the trilogy based on the novels by Suzanne Collins. Now, on the eve of that release, Collins is under media fire and question. Did the author steal this idea from a Japanese novel that was published in 1999, and made into a movie in 2000? It took four months to digitally restore the Beatles‘ ‘Yellow Submarine’, but that’s only one-sixth the time it took to create it. The animated feature film will be re-released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 28. Each frame was attended to individually, instead of by using the more common automated software process.
