Paramount Pictures' 'World War Z' seemingly has it all: Brad Pitt, big explosions, international intrigue, a looming apocalypse. Oh, and zombies. We shouldn't forget the zombies, even if it seems the studio has. Case in point: the new poster for the Marc Forster film, which features a forlorn Pitt as he surveys a devastated city from the safety of a helicopter. Lots of fire and destruction. No zombies.

Having seen 'Evil Dead' (you can read our review here), we expected this new clip to cut away before the real nasty stuff starts. It doesn't. This new 'Evil Dead' clip is probably your best indication of the film so far. The tensions escalate to the point where things get bad and then they get worse and then they get even worse after that until you're literally sitting on the edge of your seat, half-cringing. Don't worry, it's OK to watch through your fingers.
March 25, 2013 I'm a huge Science Fiction fan and Ender's Game is my most anticipated movie of 2013. I never enjoyed reading novels until I picked up Orson Scott Card's hit Ender's Game. As soon as I put the book down, I hoped someone would make it into a movie. Over ten years later my wish will come true!

You can't imagine two films more different than 'The Croods' and 'Olympus Has Fallen,' but right now the two of them sit on top of the box office chart, both temporarily linked by the fact that a bunch of people apparently wanted to see them this weekend. It's the first time in forever that two films have opened to over $30 million at the same time...but it wasn't golden for all of the new releases.
It's a busy weekend at the movies. Comedy, action, animated fare for the kids—a solid mix for a good range of audiences, those of you who aren't sitting in front of the TV watching March Madness, that is.

We're going to take a moment to pretend we live in a world where these are movies that were actually made. The blog Thumbs and Ammo is comprised exclusively of stills taken from violent movies. Only the guns have been replaced with one or both thumbs up. Does this mean they were all comedies? Maybe just heartwarming tales of affirmation? Either way, they're hilarious.
