I Got To Say It Was A Good Day [VIDEO]

They come along every now and then, one of those hassle-free days where everything just rolls your way. You feel like you can do no wrong and are ready to take on the world. This is one of those days for me...I didn't even have to use my A.K.

The First Butterfly Ball Was A Success

The first Annual Butterfly Ball at the Emerson this past weekend appeared to be a success, it really was magical for all the little girls and that special man that they look up to. I hope this event will continue for many Father's Day weekends to come.

What I Want For Father’s Day

My first Father's Day is this Sunday and because my daughter is only two months old (and she doesn't know me THAT well yet), I thought I'd provide her with some gift ideas. Here's a short list of some great gifts for under $50 (she seems to be kind of a slacker, she doesn't have a job yet either).

Sunday Brunch- 6.10.12- Playlist

THIS view... this one- is the reason I moved to Montana thirteen years ago. Although over the years I have found many favorite scenic views, they are as limitless as the clouds in our mighty Montana skies, this is the one that will come up in my mind when Im 90- living in a place by the water with big windows and great old trees

A Cozy, Indoor Long Weekend Has Left Me With A Made For T.V. Question

My only answer for Mother Nature's gift to Montana this Memorial Day weekend was enjoying movies on my couch. It all started with Forrest Gump on T.V. I sat through a couple of commercial breaks before giving in to the concept of just getting off the couch for a minute to put the Forrest Gump DVD I own in the DVD player. Does anyone else have a hard time with this?

Senior Portraits Never Go Away. Exhibit A From 1995

Ah, the Senior photos. Whatever seems like a good look today probably won't be in 20 years...and your Senior photo will haunt you for life. Just to be clear, I did not think this was a good look when I posed for it back in 1994 (the summer before my senior year). I remember thinking why?, but taking the direction in the spirit of "a photo shoot." We're hooking up a Moose VIP with a FREE custom Senior Portrait package from Larry Stanley/Jennie Lynn Photography. You may not like it in 20 years but details here:

Summer Is Almost Here, Let The Backyard Games Begin

After the weekend we just had here in Bozeman, I am thinking summer! I'm smelling the Bar-Be-Que, tasting the beer, and making some serious moves in my flip flops. Who else likes to get a little competitive in the backyard this time of year?

May 22nd Is Buy A Musical Instrument Day

I don't know who declares these things but tomorrow, May 22nd, is Buy A Musical Instrument Day. Why not? If you've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, this could be a final kick in the right direction. I think Music Villa is at least going to be a stop for me tomorrow.

What Tourist Attraction In Bozeman Are You Sort Of Embarrassed To Admit You’ve Never Been To?

It's Tourism Week, which got me thinking about the Bozeman appeal and all that this town offers to tourists year-round. With access to some amazing back country fun, beautiful scenery, cool attractions and so much more, it is quite the destination. Of course, when you have these things at your fingertips you tend to take them for granted. So we want to know, what local tourist attraction do you take for granted?

Be Good To Your Mother. You’ll Miss Her When She’s Gone.

I unwillingly joined a club in March of 2005. It was raining like hell in Bozeman when I got a phone call from my father in Mexico, where my parents were living the good life. That phone call became my membership card into the "Your Mom Isn't Here Anymore" club.

Mother’s Day: The Price Of Gold, My Priceless Piece

With Mother's Day this month, I thought I'd share some of my fondest memories of MY mom, whom I lost in 2005.  Regardless of what "the market" says, my gold necklace will always be priceless and you'll have to pry it from my cold, dead body before I'd sell it.
