The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather for all of Southwest Montana through 9 p.m. tonight. The warning has been issued again today due to gusty winds and low relative humidity, which makes fighting local fires difficult.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RE-CREATE THIS VIDEO. The Gallatin River's 'Mad Mile' is nothing to mess with. Although generally a fun rafting/kayaking experience, people have died there being far more careful than these two.

The second Madison River Citizens Advisory Committee (MCAC) meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 13th at the El Western Conference Center in Ennis. MCAC continues their efforts to develop recommendations for managing recreation on the Madison River. The public will once again be welcome to attend this meeting and provide comments.

A Bozeman resident took some great stills and video of his hike to Elephant Mountain in the Hyalite drainage south of Bozeman. It's a great way to show your out of town friends what the Bozeman area really looks like.
It happened around 10:10 a.m. on May 26. His third Summit, and first without support oxygen for our very own Bozeman Bad Ass- Conrad Anker- North Face Global Team Athlete.
