David Bowie was preparing to release a number of records in the years following his death, according to reports.

The albums are "divided into eras" and "will not necessarily be released in chronological order," beginning next year, Newsweek writes. It's not certain whether or not the new releases will feature any previously unreleased Bowie music.

This news comes after the late legend's longtime producer, Tony Visconti, revealed that Bowie had demoed at least five songs in preparation of a new album beyond his last, Blackstar (released two days before his death). A source told Newsweek that, “Bowie was one of those artists who was very engaged and liked to control what was released from the vault.”

There will also be a cast album for Lazarus, Bowie's off-Broadway musical, which opened in December and stars Cristin Milioti and Dexter's Michael C Hall.

Since Bowie's death, his music sales have increased 5000% in the U.S. and Blackstar remains at No. 1 on the U.K. album chart after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was his first album ever to top the U.S. charts.
