After releasing The Deaner Album last year, Dean Ween of Ween is ready to return with his second solo album. Deaner Rock 2 will come out on March 9, 2018.

Ween spent a couple of months writing and building demos, followed by a couple of weeks recording at his studio in Lambertville, N.J. As he says in a press release, having his own place filled with "the best equipment money can buy" and unlimited time to work out ideas has led to this moment.

"For four years now I have been in my studio recording all day and all night, every day and every night when I'm not on tour. A song-a-day sounds far-fetched I know... we usually average at least two per day. Sorting through all of this has become a task unto itself, I still haven't caught up or begun to catalog everything I've done since 1984 so there is a log jam in the filing and archiving process."

Although he calls it "a snapshot of the fall of 2016," he adds that it's the culmination of 33 years as a working musician. "Every little thing I've ever learned is somewhere on here, somewhere. Maybe you can find a little piece of it that means as much to you as it does to me."

Deaner Rock 2 was recorded with three members of Ween -- Claude Coleman Jr., Dave Dreiwitz and Glenn McClelland (keyboards) -- the Dean Ween Group -- Mike Dillon, Bill Fowler, Ray Kubian and Scott Rednor -- and 50 other musicians.

Further details, including the track listing and artwork, will be revealed at a later date.
