Thanksgiving is over and so it begins. Christmas is here folks and once again downtown Bozeman will not let you forget that. Tomorrow (Monday, November 29th) East Main Street will be closed for decorating from 8am until 1pm. Downtown Bozeman is getting suited up for the 30th annual Christmas Stroll.

It's a holiday tradition in Bozeman you don't want to miss. This year's Christmas Stroll is this Saturday, December 4th. Santa will be making his way from the Emerson Cultural Center down Main Street at 4:30pm. He'll once again light the downtown holiday lights on his way amongst carolers and thousands of onlookers. Enjoy pictures with the man himself, horse drawn wagon rides, the gingerbread house display, holiday treats, the warmth of dowtown businesses and the festive lit beauty. The fun lasts until 7:30 pm.

Once you're there it's hard to be a Scrooge. Trust me, a few years ago the brutally cold temperatures took my manhood from me. Work obligations were calling but the weather was causing me to moan about it right up until I saw the Downtown Bozeman Association's handywork (surprises me every year)  and the smile on so many faces. If it's an Arctic Christmas Stroll again this year just bundle up and grab a hot chocolate when you get there. The sense of community pride and Christmas spirit will keep you glowing.

The Bozeman Chronicle will contain your official Stroll program this Friday, December 3rd or click http://downtownbozeman.org/christmas_stroll.html for a full list of activities and events.
