Dreaming Of Starting Seeds. But It’s January.

Gardeners and wanna-be gardeners get twitchy this time of year. With snow covering everything, Winter Storm Warnings happening every week and the walls starting to cave in we want to GROW things. Get ready for what the short Montana growing season has to offer.

Some of my friends are REAL gardeners and they KNOW better than to start anything now. It's just too early.

But that doesn't stop us from planning our trips to the local gardening stores to purchase heirloom seeds, exploring new websites about what's new in composting (seriously) and having serious discussions about building new raised beds and trellises.

Whomever said "Patience Is A Virtue" clearly wasn't a green thumb in Montana.
