IT'S PLUNGE TIME: The Polar Plunge "lifeguard" will collect the Plunger Card for each Plunge Team or individual Plunger. Volunteers will be on hand to take your nice\, cozy warm cover-ups and your team will take their place at the starting point. The emcee will announce your team and 1\, 2\, 3....go! Each team will jump together into water that is approximately 4 feet deep! FOR YOUR SAFETY - absolutely NO DIVING\, NO CANNONBALLS\, NO SOMERSAULTS!!! You may exit the water quickly or take a lap around the water. For safety reasons\, you must exit the water before the next team plunges. Search and Rescue will be in the water to help you out safely. Hot Springs Spas will provide a hot tub for you to thaw out in. The actual Plunge will go very quickly - about 20 to 30 minutes. So be sure your friends and family members don't miss it. Polar Plunge cold weather plan. We are planning on hosting the President's Plunge but if temperatures on Saturday are at or below ZERO degrees\, we will change it to a "Pinkie Plunge" where participants can dip a body part into the water\, but not fully submerge. If this is the case than we will alert the media and make sure folks know that the event is still going on\, but altered for safety reasons. The event will not be cancelled due to the cold. After the event\, Plungers will need to visit www.somt.org to order any additional incentives they have earned. Photos will be posted as soon as we receive them. SUMMARY:Benefit Fund Raiser For Scott Davis
DESCRIPTION:June 25th 2011 at 12pm. At the Rebecca Lodge #74 on 20 date street right across the street from Fire Hall in Three Forks\, Montana There will be a Silent Auction and Raffle of items between 12-5pm. Raffle tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. Raffle tickets are for a 10/.22 Ruger Rifle. Early Raffle tickets are sold at the Frontier Club in Three Forks\, MT. There will be a dinner as well starting at 2pm and goes until 6pm. Cost is $10 per plate and kids eat for $5. Scott Davis\, husband\, father of a 5 yr. old girl and Three Forks resident was diagnosed in 2007 with Guillian-Barre syndrome. This is a debilitating syndrome\, where your immune system attacks the myelon sheet that covers your nerves. This syndrome is not gender or age specific. Just the slightest touch is very painful. It can cause you to have problems eating\, swallowing\, talking\, walking and breathing. Scott has had a relapse and has been in the hospital and rehab facility for almost a month now. He is unable to walk. We don't know when he will be able to come home and how much assistance he will need. He has a long road ahead of him in rehabilitation. His wife has insurance at her place of work but it will not pay for everything. There is an account set up for him "Scott Davis Benefit" at First Security Bank of Three Forks. All proceeds will go for medical\, travel expenses. If you would be able to donate anything it would be greatly appreciated. For more information on the syndrome go to Guillian-Barremayoclinic.com or callme\, Tina (Davis) Welter at 406-285-3582. Thank you for your time.

SUMMARY:Flood Victim Fundraising Event At Pizza Hut

For all dine-in\, carryout and delivery orders on this day\, 10 percent of sales will go to benefit the local Red Cross to assist the victims of the impacted communities. After witnessing firsthand the lives\, homes and businesses that were devastated by the flooding throughout Montana\, Pizza Hut owners\, operators and employees knew they had to do something to help. “Through this fundraiser\, we can hopefully make a difference for our neighbors affected by the storms and provide our customers with an opportunity to help contribute to the relief efforts\,” says Hal McCoy II\, Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant Management Company who owns and operates 16 restaurants with 360 employees in Montana. Our fellow franchisee Kent Colvin\, President of High Plains Pizza has very graciously joined with us in this effort. Getting involved in the event is easy. Simply place an order at any Pizza Hut restaurant in Montana on Wednesday\, June 8th\, and 10 percent of your bill – whether you dine in or eat at home – will go toward the Local Red Cross in Montana. “We are grateful that so many Pizza Hut employees have already gotten behind this event and thank those in the community who plan to participate\,” says Colvin.
