Here's what he revealed: It's simple but sounds massive. "There's 11 songs and, front to back, there's not one sleepy ballad," Grohl said. "The fact that we did it without any computers, it was just really simple. It just sounds massive. It's different to any other Foo Fighters album, because it just sounds big. It was really inspiring."

He also added that the band began work on the album in September. It does not havea title yet but will be hitting stores "in spring". The 'big sound' will not be a big studio sound. "It was really in my garage," Grohl said. "You could put a minivan in there and that's it." The band teamed up with super-producer Butch Vig (Nirvana's Nevermind) and former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.

"I don't even know what the single is going to be, " Grohl said. "It's hard to choose because it sounds like there's more than one." I don't know about you but I'm more than a little excited to hear what the Foo's have in store for us this spring!
