Melting snow from warmer temperatures is still causing some area flooding with the advisory for Meagher County being extended.

According to the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the flood advisory for snowmelt in Meagher County in central Montana.

  • Until 7:15 PM Friday
  • at 2:00 PM Thursday, emergency management reported snowmelt causing minor flooding over portions of Meagher County.
  • As of Thursday afternoon, the Ringling area is being impacted most
    with minor flooding. However, with warm afternoon temperatures
    expected through Friday, additional flooding problems could develop.
  • Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
  • Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
