I'm so excited to get a taste of the Foo Fighters new album. The album and all of the tracks have now been named and it is due out in April. I'm very intrigued to hear this album, apparently it was recorded entirely on analog tape in Dave Grohl's small garage. Rumor has it that this old school approach has given the band it's best recorded sound ever. I won't have to wait long for that taste, the first single is due out in days.

The Foo Fighters have announced the details of the band's upcoming seventh album, titled Wasting Light, is due out April 12th. The first single, "Rope" is due to debut on radio Feb 23 and digital retailers shortly after.

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, Wasting Light was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Grohl's home in California's San Fernando Valley during the fall of 2010. The no computers/no software back to basics approach has reportedly resulted in arguably the strongest and most cohesive effort of the band's 15-year-plus career.

Wasting Light Tracklist:

1. Bridge Burning

2. Rope

3. Dear Rosemary

4. White Limo

5. Arlandria

6. These Days

7. Back & Forth

8. A Matter Of Time

9. Miss The Misery

10. I Should Have Known

11. Walk
