KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — Police are searching for a man suspected of stealing a framed military uniform from a Kalispell store and trying to pawn the Purple Heart medal that was attached.

Frame It owner Greg Smith tells the Daily Inter Lake (http://bit.ly/1b65Q5V ) that he framed his brother's uniform and the medals he earned in Vietnam after his brother died eight years ago. The frame was on display at Smith's shop. He noticed it was missing on Jan. 9, after a couple left the store.

Smith called police and his wife started calling pawn shops. When she called one shop, the suspected thief was there trying to pawn the medal.

By the time Smith arrived, the man was already gone. Employees pulled up surveillance video. Police have identified the man, his vehicle and have a warrant for his arrest.
