A month after releasing "Bang Bang," the lead single from their upcoming album, Revolution Radio, Green Day have now given us a proper video. You can watch it below.

As with the lyric videos for "Bang Bang" and the title track, the premiere comes via their Facebook page, where they say that it was directed by Tim Armstrong, the frontman for Rancid. In the clip, three people wearing masks designed to look like the members of Green Day -- Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool -- rob a bank as the actual Green Day are playing a house party. News that the band has committed a crime makes the news before the thieves even get to their getaway Jeep, at which point they remove their masks to show that the job was done by two women and a man. The then make their way to the party and shower the band and their fans with cash.

Armstrong said that the lyrics are "about the culture of mass shooting that happens in America mixed with narcissistic social media. There’s this sort of rage happening, but it’s also now being filmed and we all have ourselves under surveillance. To me, that is so twisted. To get into the brain of someone like that was freaky. It freaked me out. After I wrote it, all I wanted to do was get that out of my brain because it just freaked me out.”

Revolution Radio will be available Oct. 7. It's their first album since 2000's Warning that they have produced themselves. Prior to its release, on Sept. 20, they will begin a begin a month-long tour of clubs across North America, and they will hit Europe in 2017.
