Snow continues to fall in Gallatin and Madison counties with most falling above 6,000 feet. The snow is light and the city streets aren't too bad.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON ABOVE 6000 FEET.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON BELOW 6000 FEET.

  • WHAT: Snow expected and all elevations, with the heaviest snow coming above 6000 feet.
  • Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 are expected above 6000 feet, with 2 to 4 inches expected below 6000 feet.
  • WHERE: Madison and Gallatin Counties.
  • WHEN: Until 5 PM tonight for both the Winter Storm Warning and the Winter Weather Advisory.
  • Plan on difficult travel conditions especially at mountain pass level.
  • Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times.
  • Increased avalanche danger also expected.
