According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MST SUNDAY.

  • LOCATIONS - BATTLE RIDGE PASS... BOZEMAN... BOZEMAN PASS... TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE... BIG HOLE PASS... CHIEF JOSEPH PASS... DILLON... MONIDA PASS... ENNIS... NORRIS HILL... RAYNOLDS PASS... TWIN BRIDGES.
  • TIMING - SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE THROUGH TONIGHT. THE SNOW MAY COME DOWN MODERATE AT TIMES. THE SNOW WILL THEN TAPER OFF ON SUNDAY.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 4 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS AND 5 TO 10 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS.
  • WINDS - 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.
  • IMPACTS - SNOW AND ICE ON AREA ROADWAYS WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS AT TIME. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN.
  • COLD TEMPERATURES AND WIND MAY CREATE WIND CHILL READINGS BELOW ZERO ESPECIALLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY.
  • PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS - A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITY.
