Jared Joyce Says No To Shark Tank, Yes To Edison Nation With Five Minute Furniture
I missed the episode but heard all about Jared turning down a pretty sweet amount of money. However, a "sweet amount of money" is relative to someone as smart as Jared Joyce. Sounds like he's going to be just fine. Details here:
Jared Joyce, a Bozeman resident and professional inventor, appeared on ABC’s hit series “Shark Tank” Friday, February 24. Jared Joyce faced the Sharks seeking a $250,000 investment for twenty-five percent stake in his “Five Minute Furniture” invention, a patented furniture system that enables quick and easy assembly with no tools required.
While the sharks did offer Jared a $250,000 investment for one-hundred percent ownership of his invention, Jared declined the offer and ultimately walked away empty-handed – but only momentarily.
Edison Nation®, (www.edisonnation.com) a Charlotte, N.C.-based idea-to-shelf product developer and online inventor community, is excited to announce that Jared Joyce’s “Five Minute Furniture” has been selected to move forward with its company.
Edison Nation partners with major retailers and manufacturers, such as Procter & Gamble, Fisher-Price, and Bed Bath & Beyond, to bring licensing opportunities to inventors and everyday idea people.
Jared Joyce’s “Five Minute Furniture” was among those chosen from the ideas submitted to Edison Nation's Innovation Fund. Each idea selected for the Innovation Fund may receive up to $250,000 in development dollars to help get it to market.
Jared Joyce has been an active member within the Edison Nation community since its inception in 2008.
