The Bozeman Police, along with Gallatin County Search & Rescue searched a lengthy stretch of the creek with no sign of the man IN the creek OR evidence of where he may have exited the creek.

On Friday, May 06, 2016 at 01:10, Bozeman Police were dispatched to Bar 9 for an unidentified intoxicated male who jumped into Bozeman Creek behind the bar. The man was described as 5’9 with shaggy dark hair, wearing a green plaid shirt and khaki shorts.

The reporting party said that the man climbed over the railing and dropped into the creek where he floated downstream, under the alley and out of sight.

Bozeman PD sent officers to the known crossing points of the creek and searched the creek bank for places where the man may have exited the water. After searching for approximately 30 minutes with no sign of the man, Bozeman PD requested the assistance of Sheriff’s  Search & Rescue.

At 01:50, the water rescue teams were dispatched.   Dive teams, K9 and Posse teams searched the creek from Bar 9 to East Griffin Drive. No sign of the man was found.  If anyone has information the can contact Bozeman Police at (406)582-2100.
