My favorite Super Bowl commercial this year had to be the Volkswagon one. You know, the one with little Darth and the dad that helps him deliver his dark force powers. He really became a celebrity this morning when he was unmasked on the Today Show. It just so happens today's biggest star has Montana ties.

The 6-year-old boy featured in a Super Bowl advertisement for the 2012 Volkswagen Passat has ties to northwestern Montana.

The Daily Inter Lake reports Max Page, who plays a mini-Darth Vader seeking to perform his powers on household objects including his parents' new Passat, is the son of 1990 Whitefish High School graduate Jennifer Alderson Page. His grandparents, Jim and Connie Alderson, live in Whitefish six months out of the year.

The Page family didn't know Max had snagged a national ad, let alone a Super Bowl ad, until he was on the set filming it. It took 16 hours over two days to complete the spot.

The commercial received a lot of pregame hype. And thanks to YouTube, his mom says, "Max is officially the coolest kid in school."
