Back in January, Massive Attack launched Fantom, their "sensory music" app, with an advance listen to their Ritual Spirit EP. Now, they're using it to preview their newest work, three songs called "Come Near Me," "The Spoils" and "Dear Friend"

Users of Fantom can hear snippets of the tracks, as well as create their own versions. The app, which was developed in part by the band's Robert Del Naja (3D), remixes the content based on such criteria as movement, balance and the time of day. Apple Watch users can also integrate it with the Health app so that your pulse can have an effect on the harmonies and rhythms.

In addition, you can record your movements through the camera and share pictures and videos via Twitter. When the tracks are put up for sale, you will be able to buy them at iTunes.

After previewing Ritual Spirit, the first of two EPs Massive Attack have promised in 2016, they gave it a traditional release, then spent the next few months releasing star-studded videos for its songs. "Take It There" featured John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter’s Bone), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) was in the clip for “Voodoo in My Blood" and model Kate Moss starred in the title track. Massive Attack have also said that they hope to put out a full-length album this year. It will be their first since 2010's Heligoland.

You can download Fantom, which is exclusive to the iPhone at the App Store, and learn more about it at Fantom's website.
