We were already well enamored with Showtime's 'Masters of Sex' to begin with, let alone that 'Breaking Bad' star Betsy Brandt joined the season 2 cast, while the newest run bumped up to a summer premiere. Now, the universally beloved Sarah Silverman boards 'Masters of Sex' season 2 in a recurring role, but who will the comedian portray?

As Showtime announced Silverman's recurring character to be named "Helen," TV Line reports that Helen is Betty's (Annaleigh Ashford's) "wacky" ex-lover who is still in love with her old flame and truly believes herself to be a legitimate psychic palm reader. Previously, ‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 added ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ star Keke Palmer in the recurring role of the Masters’ new nanny, while 'American Horror Story: Coven' star Danny Huston will portray the recurring role of Dr. Douglas Greathouse, the privileged head of a hospital's Obstetrics Department.

Despite airing with the most recent season of 'Homeland' last year, 'Masters of Sex' will move to summer for its second season, partnering with fellow sophomore series 'Ray Donovan' for a July 13 premiere. Not only that, but today has also seen Showtime releasing the premiere of 'Penny Dreadful' ahead of schedule, no doubt to drum up hype for its summer offerings.

Well, what say you? Does 'Masters of Sex' season 2 have any more appeal with Sarah Silverman in a recurring role? Check out the first bits of new footage in the trailer below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
