Mayor Krauss Previews State of the City Address, ‘We Don’t Want to Be a Town That’s Surrounded by Suburbia’

As outlined during his weekly visit with the Morning Show, Mayor Krauss shared a sneak-peek of his State of City address to be delivered next week. You can expect to hear about the further development of "Midtown" and "New City."

New City, as Krauss called it, is that area zoned B3, downtown business, that is outside historic preservation district. The city will strive for a very hard edge on the edge of town as well as around B3 zoning. Bozeman wants urban density then agriculture, not a town surrounded by suburbia.

The city will need to make sure people can invest in downtown and build so that people choose to live downtown.
