afternoon.

Timing and main impact: very strong west winds will continue
through this afternoon before diminishing later in the evening.
Travel will be hazardous for high profile vehicles.

Winds: sustained west winds of 30 to 40 mph... with gusts to 65
mph. Along the Rocky Mountain front... locally higher wind gusts
up to 80 mph are possible.

Other impacts: areas of snow and blowing snow through canyons
and mountain passes will cause low visibility and drifting snow.
