You may have noticed many establishments around Bozeman now serving Moscow Mules. I'm not quite sure how their popularity gained strength again, but they're quite tasty and can be expensive should you decide to have more than one. I gathered the recipe for you in case you'd like to make them at home.

Ingredients
Moscow Mule Recipe
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 tsp. sugar syrup
  • Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup ginger beer
  • 1 sprig fresh mint
  • 1 slice of lime
Directions
In a copper mug, pour vodka over ice. Add sugar syrup and lime juice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with mint sprig and lime slice.
The cocktail was invented in 1941 by John G. Martin an East Coast spirits and food distributor, and John "Jack" Morgan, President of Cock 'n' Bull Products (which produced ginger beer) and proprietor of the Cock 'n' Bull Tavern, a bar on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles popular with celebrities.
