Jake Gyllenhaal & Carey Mulligan star in Wildlife, a film set in Great Falls in the 1960s, but primarily filmed in Livingston. Well-known actor Paul Dano makes his directorial debut on the project.

Here is a description of the film from IFC:

"14-year-old Joe is the only child of Jeanette and Jerry—a housewife and a golf pro—in a small town in 1960s Montana. Nearby, an uncontrolled forest fire rages close to the Canadian border, and when Jerry loses his job—and his sense of purpose—he decides to join the cause of fighting the fire, leaving his wife and son to fend for themselves. Suddenly forced into the role of an adult, Joe witnesses his mother’s struggle as she tries to keep her head above water."

The film originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2018.  It screened at the Cannes Film Festival on May 9, and it was also shown at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2018.

Wildlife is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 19, 2018.

The film opens at the Art House Cinema & Pub in Billings, MT on November 23, 2018. For more information, click here.
